Single Wide Female In Love - The Date by Lillianna Blake

Synopsis

I’m putting all of my cards on the table with Blue.

And yes, I do realize that I can’t seem to stop these irrational (and slightly impure!) thoughts about Max—Max, my best friend.

And I know it’s a risk. You’re right! And I’ll probably never make a move but I so wish that I could get just one kiss from those lips…maybe that would stop the madness once and for all.

Anyway, that’s not likely so…

Regardless, I’m gonna meet THE one. If Blue never shows up, I’m on a mission to find my Mr. Right and this time I won’t stop until I do.

Cross your fingers and say a prayer for me, okay?

Fear of Falling by S.L. Jennings

Synopsis

I can’t remember the last time I felt completely safe. Security seemed more like a luxury to me, reserved for those who were fortunate enough to have picture perfect childhoods. For those who didn’t bear the ugly scars that keep me bound in constant, debilitating fear. I’ve run from that fear my entire life. But when I met him, for once, I couldn’t run anymore.

He scared the hell out of me in a way that excited every fiber of my being. It wasn’t the tattoos or the piercings. It wasn’t the warmth that seemed to radiate from his frame and blanket me whenever he was near. It was just…him. The scary beautiful man that threatened to alter 23 years of routine and rituals, and make me face my crippling fear.

My name is Kami and I am constantly afraid. And the thing that scares me the most is the very thing I want.

“Don’t worry,” he smiled, pulling me into the hard warmth of his chest. “I’ve got you. I’ll always catch you when you fall.”

And just like that, Blaine had staked his claim on the untouched part of me that no living soul had ever moved. He had captured every fear, every reservation, and crushed them in the palm of his inked hand.

What I Think

I have been lucky to been picked to read this ARC and a couple from different authors but I was so happy when I got this one as S.L. Jennings is one of if not my favourite author and I have read all her work any how enough about that lets talk about the book.

Kami is a person which believes that she cant love someone and someone cant love her unless its Dominic and Angel (family she made). Dominic and Kami meet in College, Dominic has his own evil past he lives with everyday but he is there for Kami in a way like a big brother, and Angel is a girl that Dominic had been with in the past in high school but stayed friends with,(Angel tells us that he was the one that turned her) but you will read want happens.

Blaine has had is own trouble in the past. been in trouble with the police and a cheating lover, he has learnt to stop holding everything in to keep everyone else happy and learnt to speak his mind, lets just say it sometimes gets him in and out of trouble. Blaine is the owner of a bar named Dive he took it over from his uncle. That took him in when he was younger, you will meet CJ in this story he is Blaine's cousin there is a lot I could say about him but will let you find out.

The first time Blaine seen Kami was just after she pulled up in front of a bar called Dive, she was sitting in the car talking to herself little did he know she was on the phone to Angel asking if she would meet her there for a drink, as she just dumped her boyfriend and needed to drown it with drinks, of course Angel said she will be right there. Kami went in and sat at the bar with her head down and ordered her drinks while waiting for Angel to show, CJ sat down near her trying to crack on to her but she wasn't into it but when she looked up, Blaine stood in front of her all tattooed, tongue pierced and sexy as hell.

This book was amazing I cant say enough about it. and because of that it has moved up to my #1 spot of must read books and I'm happy to tell people to buy it because I know they will love it just as much as me.
The way S.L.Jennings wrote this is amazing it grabs you from the first word to the last word and that is why I'm giving it my highest rating.

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

What I Think

The start of this book was sort of sad the family had to move from one side of the states to the other leaving their childhood home and everything and everyone they knew and where the memories were of their father who died not long ago. There was reasons why they had to move but their mother didn't tell them, well not until she had to.

It was a long drive for Layken who was taking in turns with her mother driving the U-Haul truck and the car. It was even longer because she didn't what to go but as all good books go, things happen, people are met, friendships and relationships are formed.

Colleen Hoover drags you into this book and keeps you there until the last word, it had me crying laughing. the poetry in this book was amazing loved every single piece but i do have to favourite ones which are of course Wills and Lakes, I don't think I have ever been so into a book that I forgot where I was when reading it until this one and I hope it keeps on going on to the next two books in this amazing trilogy.

I recommend this book and every other book written by Colleen Hoover And I'm also putting this book in my must reads list. I recommending this book to everyone even if you don't like the romance books you will love it anyway.
