Title: Cowboy Dreams
Series: Down Under Cowboy #3
Author: Kasey Millstead
Cover Design: Cover It Designs
 Release Date: June 2014

My decision for moving from Sydney, NSW, to Pine Creek NT, was purely selfish...to begin with.  My best friend, Edie, had gone off on an adventure to find herself, and instead she'd found the love of her life. Not wanting to be left behind, I decided to follow her. I made this choice for a few reasons. First, I didn't want to be without my best friend. Second, I'd slept with my boss, and trust me, once that happens, shit just gets awkward! And third, on a visit with Edie, I'd met a man.

Clay Forde.
A hunk of Aussie, crocodile egg collecting,
cowboy, badass, hotness.

We had a one-night stand...and then another one when I visited again. Then, I found out I was pregnant.
So now, moving to the Northern Territory wasn't just about me escaping the awkwardness at work, or tagging along with my best friend. It was about developing a relationship with a man I hardly knew, who I was about to have a baby with.
I'm loathe to admit it, but I'm scared and I'm nervous. But most of all, I'm petrified he's going to reject me. Because even though our "relationship" so far has been limited to two sexual encounters, I can't help the feelings that have taken root in my bones...feelings for Clay. And the worst part is, I don't even know if he feels an inkling of what I do.

Cowboy Dreams (Down Under Cowboy Series) is the 3rd instalment of the #1 Bestselling series. Each book can be read as a stand alone as each of books is about interconnecting characters and they all have happy ever afters. However, the author recommends they be read in order to avoid spoilers.

Best Chick Lit.com Don't miss the other novels in the series, The Illicit Love of a Courtesan The Passionate Love of a Rake The Scandalous Love of a Duke and coming soon...

The Lost Love of a Soldier This novella tells the story of secondary characters from The Illicit Love of a Courtesan Rupert Stanforth, Earl of Morton, is exasperated by his sister's choice of friend. Meredith Divine, clings, using Rowena's plain appearance as a foil for her auburn curls and fuller figure. He would break the friendship, but the more he complains the more time the girls spend together. Ceasing his disagreement, he hopes the friendship will die, believing Meredith will take a wrong-step soon...

Meredith clings to her only friend, Lady Rowena Stanforth, despite the disgusted looks thrown by Rowena's proud, judgemental brother. Lord Morton cannot abide Meredith because of her low standing but Meredith's heart favours him... then in his single act of kindness, Meredith grasps an opportunity she cannot resist...

Capturing the Earl’s Love

Lord Rupert Stanforth, Earl of Morton, watched his sister, Rowena, approach.

She was smiling, and her friend, Meredith Divine, clung to her arm.

His gaze briefly passed over the other girl. He was increasingly convinced Miss Divine only kept Rowena as a friend because Rowena was the perfect foil to show off Miss Divine’s more striking looks. Her auburn curls glowed in the candlelight beside Rowena’s lacklustre, light-brown locks.

Miss Divine was also slightly taller, and a little fuller in the bust.

While they crossed the room, she appeared to press as close as she could to Rowena’s side, letting Rowena’s less impressionable looks make Miss Divine’s stand out among the white-clad debutantes in the ballroom.

His eyes focused on his sister once more. She was out of breath, having just completed a country dance, and her cheeks were flushed, while her eyes glowed, expressing the fun she was having.

“I want to introduce Meredith to Ellen. Will you escort us and do the honours? Meredith is dying to meet her.”

Mmm, now what is this little game? He glanced at Miss Divine only to receive a very bright but subtly restrained smile.

She was trying to win his approval.

He was not interested. He wished nothing to do with the little schemer. Her father was in some sort of trade. Rupert had not even wished Rowena to befriend Miss Divine, let alone become so thick with her. The two of them were inseparable; or rather, Miss Divine hung about Rowena like a moth around a flame. Except Miss Divine was no moth. Her beauty was far too vibrant.

Rupert was Rowena’s guardian. Their father had passed on long ago, so Rupert was responsible for keeping his sister safe. It fell to him to help her choose her friends wisely. Yet the more he disparaged Miss Divine, the more Rowena favoured the girl. He’d ceased his complaints. Their friendship had still blossomed. He’d hoped it would wither and die back. It had not—yet.

He expected Miss Divine to make a wrong step soon though, one which would open his sister’s eyes, and end this arm-in-arm behavior.

What I Think

This book made me laugh from the first page, what a way to start a book. it may be a short story but it has a lot in it that some of the books i have read in a full novel hasn't had. Alexis Fleming is a great author and if she can make me like/love this book in 90 pages then i cant wait to see what she can do in a full novel and i will put my hand up to read that.

The only reason i dont give this book 5 readers rating is because it is only a short story.

Marking Him by Elena M Reyes

The day Maya Owens walked into his tattoo shop, everything Talan knew changed. After officially starting a relationship, he is now having trouble managing Maya—a woman who consumes every part of his being and owns his heart. His need to control her and everything around her drives Maya insane, but he has good reason. After all, Janice is still lurking around and she has a vendetta against his Bitty. In no time Talan wants more, and it’s faster than Maya can handle; things begin to get complicated.
Months of frustration and want take them for a ride neither wanted, but now yearn for. Will they make it through the turbulence? And if so, at what cost?

“What are we doing here?” Maya asked when we pulled up to my shop.
This date was about remembering our first meeting, for her to see how I truly felt.
Taking her face in my hands, I caressed her cheek with the tip of my fingers and leaned forward to ghost my lips over hers.
“Where did we meet, Maya?” I asked, then waited for her reaction. She didn’t disappoint.
A small smile overtook her face. “Here.”
“So where else would I want our first date to be?”
Maya giggled, confusing me. “This isn’t our first date, Talan.”
“No? Are you sure?” She nodded, still laughing at my confused state. “I don’t remember taking you—”
“Shush,” Maya placed her finger over my lips, “our first date happened right here a few months back. The same night we discussed your tattoos.”
“But you said . . .” I trailed off; this having a woman shit was confusing.
“I know what I said, Talan.” She sounded exasperated and all traces of humor left her features. “I asked to date, to make us official.”
“Why didn’t you just say so?” I grumbled while rubbing my temples.
“I did; you just heard what you wanted.” Bitty raised an eyebrow at me. “Now, feed me.”
“You drive me insane.” If I didn’t care for this woman, I would strangle her.
My words were met with another raised brow and a saucy smirk. “Then I’m doing something right.”
I laughed at her reply. What could I say to argue that logic? She had every right to act cocky at the moment. Bitty had me by the balls and knew it.
“Stay.” Turning off the engine of my truck, I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car. Maya stayed inside, waiting on me. “Ready?”
She nodded.
I unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed her by the waist, and helped her down. Her small frame slithered down my body, rubbing against my hardened cock.
“For you? Since we met.”
“Behave.” My warning was met with defiance.
Maya’s hands grabbed onto the front of my pants. She pulled me forward; my erect shaft nestled between our bodies, pushing against her stomach. “Feed me.”
“Hungry?” I grunted when her right hand dipped inside my waistband.
“Commando?” She moaned, ignoring my question. Maya ran the tip of her fingers around the slit, rubbing the liquid there over my swollen head. I shivered while watching, mesmerized, as she brought the glistening digits toward her lips and sucked.
“Maya, please. Let’s go eat. You have to be starving.”
“I am,” she whimpered, as my flavor danced over her tongue. Maya winked at me then shimmied once more against me. The head of my cock—now purple and swollen—peeked out from the waistband, searching for her touch.
“Quit fucking around, Bitty.” Growling under my breath, I tucked my dick back into my pants, much to her disappointment. It’d been torture not taking her, but it was getting worse than before. We were both so close to that moment and we knew it. “I ordered in.”
“Warned you; I’m hungry.” She ignored my statement and instead pulled me down to her level. Her eyes shone with emotion, deep and as pure as she was. “Don’t care about food.” Maya bit my lip, hard. “Feed me.”
“Fuck.” She killed my will, my need to show her I wanted more from her than just the sweet pussy between her thighs.
“First, food, and then for dessert, I’ll give you my cock,” I whispered—more a plea than a bargain—against her lips. She bit down once more and backed away, leaving my lip bruised and tingling.
“Tempting.” Bitty stepped back. “Convince me.”
“Okay.” I took a step forward and backed her into my truck, my fingers tangling in her hair. She opened her mouth to speak, but my finger over those succulent lips silenced her. “Quiet.”
Maya whined against my hold. My hips kept her in place, taunting her, I ground my hardened length against her.
“We’re going to enter my shop and enjoy all the hard work I’ve put into this date. Nod if you understand.” She did. “I want to enjoy you.” Bitty moaned at this, and swiveled her hips into me. “Feed you. Don’t take that away from me.” At those last words, a soft expression overtook her face and she stilled in my arms.
She sighed. “You win.”
“What was that?” I asked needing to hear her say it again.
“You win.” Maya smiled and pushed me back with a gentle shove. “I want it all. You, me, and this date . . . the small talk and flirting. Maybe even another orgasm at the end of the night?” She was too cute when showing her neediness.
“No more harassing me?” I gave her a playful smile.
“For now.” She winked then pushed me toward the front doors of my shop.
“Stop.” I turned to face her. Maya’s look was confused, but her confusion turned into that burning need I loved when she realized what I’d pulled from my pockets. “Turn around,” I demanded and she complied.
She did. No questions, just obedience. I could get used to that.
“I’m going to cover your eyes.” My words were met with a needy whimper. Maya pressed her body closer to mine. The heat coming off her skin seared me.
“How do you expect me to behave if—”
“Quiet. Not a word,” I whispered into her ear and laid a small kiss on her neck. “Just enjoy.” The small blindfold I’d pulled from my pocket dangled from my finger. Her eyes followed its movement.
I wanted her to see the words etched onto the silk fabric, the ones I’d chosen just for her: Marked.
It said everything I felt. Every one of my pores, every cell in my body wore her stamp—her mark. Now, she would wear mine.

"Full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling story line"
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness..

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. i was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. i was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. and we would become the mirrors that reflected each others most private wounds...and desires. the bonds of his love transformed me,even as i prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart....

What I Think

What i was thinking then...

A lot of reviewers are putting this up against 50 shades of grey they are just as good as each other, but saying that they are totally different stories. the way the main characters meet for the first time was so sweet, once you start reading that part you know that something like that was going to happen. i would re-read this book before the third book comes out later this year. i love the main male character in this book Gideon Cross  and Eva's roommate is funny with things he does.

What i think in 2014...

Gideon Cross what can i say about this dream man that has everything he ever needs or wants. He is one of the strongest main male characters i have read, sorry to say but i think he shits over CG he does not come close in my eyes.

Eva, well she is just as strong headed as Gideon, she tries and do everything herself and only rarely gets a little help from her room mate Cary. There are so many things put in front of her that i think any one else would of just given up but she keeps on going on.

At first i wasnt sure how it was going to go as i had not long read FSOG and with everyone saying that if you have read FSOG it would be like re-reading it just with new names, but i didnt see it that way, ok yes Gideon Cross owns the building that Eva ends up working in but that is it the rest of the story is totally different.

The first three books are out and we are waiting to hear when the next book is to be out. we found out that there is not just going to be three books and it is going to be a five book series.

Interview with E.P.Rose

Just want to say a thankyou to E.P.Rose for taking the time out to do this interview with me.

  • What is the hardest thing about writing?
Staying awake.
  • Have you ever had writer’s block? If so, what got you through it?
I do suffer from writer’s block, about once every three or four hours. I find that ten minutes in the sauna, followed by half a dozen lengths of my local pool, followed by a snooze, followed by a glass of ginger beer and milk, followed by a chunk of Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut, works wonders.
  • Do you read much or at all?
I came across a very good quote the other day by Samuel Butler, you know, the Victorian dude who wrote Erewhon and The Way of All Flesh. He said: “My main wish is to get my books into other people’s rooms, and to keep other people’s books out of mine.”
  • If you do read, who/what are your favourite authors/Genre?
In fact, I read oodles of books, but not when I’m writing. When I’m in full flow, there’s only room for one voice inside my head. Here, in no particular order, are some favourite authors as they spring to mind: Raymond Chandler, Richard Brautigan, Agatha Christie, Oscar Wilde, Wilkie Collins, James M.Cain, Damon Runyon, P.G.Wodehouse, Kurt Vonnegut, A.A.Milne ……… that’ll do for now.
  • Do you read your reviews?
I never believe it, when people say they don’t. If I said I didn’t, I’d be lying.
  • If you were asked for advice from an aspiring writer, what would you tell them?
If you write a page a day, and take the weekends off, you’ll have two hundred and sixty pages by the end of one year – and that’s a book. Go and do it. Ignore all advice.
  • Which Authors inspire you?
All of the authors I mentioned in the question before the question before last, and Joseph Heller.
  • Tell us a bit about yourself.?
Samuel Butler also said: “Every man’s work, whether it be literature or music or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of himself.” It is rather alarming to think that I might well be revealing more about myself within the pages of The Conspiracy Kid or Beyond The Valley of Sex and Shopping, than I am prepared to reveal in this interview. I like my privacy, but at the same time I would like millions of people to read my books. It’s a tricky contradiction.
  • How does it feel to have your work published?
Exciting and nerve-wracking.
  • Do you still like writing as much as you did when you first started?
I like it more and more.
  • Where is your favourite place to write if you have one?
I have a writing room, above Sonny’s Kitchen, which is one of my wonderful wife’s wonderful restaurants. It’s a two minute stroll from my house. Very handy.
  • If you weren’t writing, what else do you be doing?
I would be a painter, starving in a garret.
  • What is your comfort food?
Hamburgers – preferably cooked by Muriel Cohen at Red, White and Blues, as featured in The Conspiracy Kid.
  • Do you use a Pen name or Real name?
E.P.Rose is a pen name.
  • Do you listen to music when you write?
No. I need silence to write. Music requires my entire attention. Words have their own rhythm.
  • The funniest thing that happened at a signing?
I was approached by someone I’d known for twenty years, who wanted a personal dedication, and I couldn’t remember her name.
  • The Scariest thing that happened at a signing?
See above.

What I Think

I went through so many emotions with this book sad because Pagie was a loner or crazy as all the school seen her because she talks to Dottie who was a ghost. Happy because she had Logan who was her what could you call him boyfriend/bodyguard. Worried because of all the demons that were after her just because she can open portals but at the time of the first encounter she know nothing about it and thought that she was really crazy.
The only person to see the real Pagie was Logan but he was keeping something from her. Something he knew was going to make her run when she found out .

The whole story was a sweet paranormal romance a really good start to the dark world series and I can't wait for the rest of it to see what happens.

The cover looks amazing and it go's with the story. I recommend this amazing series to all my followers and to anyone that just wants a good read. i will be reading anything Cara Lynn Shultz writes as she know how to bend her words to keep you hook on the story asking for more.

What would happen if you lost everything? If the people who were
supposed to love you unconditionally were no longer there for you, how
would your world change?

That's exactly what happened to
Madeleine Becker when her parents died when she was ten years old.
Ripped from her home and everything that she has ever loved, she is
forced to start all over again. The only way for her to move on is to
build walls around her heart and keep everyone at a safe distance. Her
logic: she can't get hurt if she doesn't fall in love.

theory is blown to pieces when she meets Reid Connely during her
freshman year at college. He is gorgeous and darkly mysterious. He
understands Maddy's pain all too well, but sharing his pain would mean
breaking down the walls he put up around his own heart. Conflicted
between loving Maddy and hiding his dark past, Reid starts to reevaluate
his world. Maddy's inner strength, snarky personality and breath
taking beauty help Reid to make peace with his past.

Together they find out what happens when they Let Love In.

About the Author

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in
college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed
her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English
teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism
of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a
classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she
was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance
novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the
characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of
her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain
and The Love Series was born.
